After 4 IUIs, 4 IVFs AND an FET our TWO little miracles are here!
The lamb costume is so cute!! She looks so tall in it! I can't believe she's almost 1!!
ReplyDeleteOMG! so cute! Can I ask where you got the halloween costume and the pool floatie? By the way, I DID have my baby girl (on 8/10/10) (36 hours of labor, but got stuck at 9 cm and had to have a c-section, but the last 2 weeks have been crazy!! I can't find hardly any time to post on CC. I was re-reading your post about bottles and got the born-free ones per your recommendation. So...I'm guessing you didn't breastfeed? I'm finding it super hard and ready to give up. I want to find other moms who didn't so I can feel better about not breastfeeding...
ReplyDeleteThe floatie is from BRU, and the costume is from One Step Ahead...they have really cute ones, and they are good quality. Congrats on the baby!!!
ReplyDeleteDon't feel bad AT ALL if you want to stop BFing. I know so many people like to make you feel bad, but it is completely a personal choice, and you have to do what is best for YOU and YOUR FAMILY, not what other people try to put upon you. I HATED BFing. Ella didn't like it either, and she was mostly getting bottles (of BM but still) the first 16 days since she was in the NICU so I couldn't BF most of the time. I decided to pump exclusively, which was a way better decision for me. Gary was able to do lots of the feedings (especially night feedings) since she was on a bottle, which helped tremendously. Plus, I stopped even pumping (best day EVER) at 3 months, and she got BM until 5 months because I had so much frozen. Not to mention I always knew exactly how much she was getting, which helps with the stress factor. Oh, and we only fed her every 3 hours instead of on demand or every 2 hours so it was GREAT! I have tons of friends that haven't BF or pumped and did formula exclusively, and their kids are super healthy so that is fine too. I could go on and on and on, but bottom line, do NOT feel bad, and you do what is best for you. It will be much better for you and the baby (and your husband!) if you do what makes you happy. I was a drastically different person after I stopped pumping...it was like a fog lifted and my life was back. Congrats again!!
