Silly Girls

Gary has been working late A LOT, and Everett goes to bed around 6:15/6:30 so Ella and I have had to entertain ourselves for several nights.  Tonight, Ella decided that she wanted to take pictures on my phone...

Attractive, no? ;)

Then I figured it's never too early to teach her the kissy lip face, which she will undoubtedly use in 98% of the photos she takes with her friends in college. :)

Her first attempt...um...??????

She's learning!

Everett is Crawling!

He really started yesterday.  Sometimes he jumps like a frog, but sometimes he moves both knees like a real crawl!  I got a couple videos, but they aren't very good so I'll post a video later when I get a good one. :)

The Great Park

We finally made a trip to The Great Park!  We rode the carousel, ran around the playground and walked through the garden.  We tried to take a ride on the big balloon, but the wait was too long, and my little scaredy cat said she wouldn't go on it anyway.

My handsome little man...

A little time in the cave...

Mason LOVES Everett- it's so sweet!

Snack time!

The only child we can ever get to smile in photos!

Ella and Hannah were not too sure about the chickens running loose in the garden...

So we let daddy feed them...

Stuff...

1.)  Clearly, I need to stop carrying 150 bags at once since I insist on making only one trip from the car to the house after Target runs because my mini-me copies everything I do...

But I can't help it, this is me...

2.)  Since I'm trying to kind of get back into running (please keep your laughing to a minimum), I finally gave in and bought a double jogging stroller- the kids LOVE sitting next to each other (for 5 minutes at least!), but the whole ride basically entails Ella saying, "I want to walk mommy" and Everett sporadically crying as Ella bothers him...

3.)  And the grand finale...Everett can get himself up into a sitting position!!!!  The video is over 2 minutes long so if you're interested in the sitting up part, it's at about 1:40...however, if you watch the entire video, you'll see what my entire day is like every.single.day...Ella will NOT leave her brother alone.  Ever.

Weekend Stuff

I forgot to post some fun the kids had at Ryan's house last weekend...

Ella (with Brice) at Brett's 4th birthday party last Sunday...

And today, the kids got to celebrate Ryan's (a different Ryan!) first birthday!

Saturday Fun

Ella went to Aviela's 3rd birthday party where they got to make their very own superhero capes!  You can see Aviela modeling hers...

And eat yummy pink and purple cake!

After the party, we went to the Lagoon with friends...

The kids loved playing in the sand!

And eating leaves?

Ella even went down the slide all by herself!

Everett was in a great mood- look at the silly grins and smirks!

Summertime Sassiness

My good little girl is certainly ramping up the sassiness (and drama) for summer!  Today I was getting a little impatient and snippy with her when I was putting her down for her nap, and she says in a total sarcastic tone, "settle down".  At least she can always make me laugh!

This means we need to have things to do at all times so we've been keeping very busy with friends!

And apparently Ella has adopted summertime eating habits...instead of eating her lunch, she swiped my salad and began stuffing her face!

Ella's Morning at the Spectrum...

Playing at the turtles...

A snack with my buddy...

TWO rides on carousel...

And spending some time at the Apple store...

They finished off their morning with a healthy meal at The Veggie Grill.  Ella got the mac and cheese (made with quinoa pasta and dairy-free cheese)...I wasn't a big fan (I'm sorry but cheese needs to contain dariy. period.), but she ate almost half of it! If you haven't tried The Veggie Grill yet, I highly recommend it! The buffalo "wings" are DELISH and taste just like real buffalo chicken. The sweet potato fries were also really good. I've heard from friends that the kale salad is amazing.  Everything is GMO-free and vegan. I am not vegan or even vegetarian, but this place is really good.  I think I need to try one of their burgers next time. :)
