Everett 11 Months Old

My boo boo is almost one year old!  He is babbling a TON now, and he has discovered his voice so he likes to screech and make all sorts of funny noises.  He doesn't seem to have any words yet- he says mama and dada, but like Ella at this age, not really in relation to Gary or I!  He shakes his head no, and he will stop when you say no...but then start right up again with what he was doing!  He is also getting a lot fussier as he gets older...what happened to my perfect never makes a peep baby?

His cheeks get bright red when he is tired, and he gets super cranky when he's hungry...just like daddy!  He stands, cruises and pushes his walker, but he doesn't stand independently or take steps.

He is eating a good amount of solids, but he still does not love formula so it's a struggle to feed him a bottle, and I'm sure he's not getting enough. :(  He wears a size 3 diaper and anywhere from 3-6 months (pants) to 18 months (shirts) in clothes.  We think he weighs about 20 pounds.

He still doesn't really have a favorite toy, but he loves playing with Rylee- she cracks him up!  And of course poor Rylee is once again getting chunks of hair pulled out.

Everett - 9 Months Old

Everett Cole is 9 months old today!  He continues to be the happiest, most smiley baby I have ever met in my life.

He has 3 teeth- 2 on the bottom middle and 1 on the upper left side.  He is CRAWLING (Ella was still only army crawling at 9 months) and CLAPPING!  I think he is on the verge of trying to pull himself up.  He is much less vocal then Ella was at this age, but he is starting to babble more and try out those consonants.

He is not a huge eater and still mostly eats formula and purees.  He does love yogurt bites and puffs, although it's a little difficult without a pincer grip!

He wears a size 3 diaper and 6-9 months or 9 months in clothes.

The love affair continues between the siblings, although Ella is *just* starting to get a little bit feisty around him.  Like she'll try to sit on him when he's on my lap or ask to be held when I'm holding him, etc.  She is also starting to grab toys from him and not being as good at sharing.  But in general, they are best friends. :)

He is similar to his sister in that he LOVES being around other people.  He is happiest when we are out, and there are lots of people around (just like Ella was).  Also like Ella, he has no stranger anxiety, and is not clingy or cuddly (boo!).  However, if we are home between about 4:30/5pm and 6pm...we are in for a major witching hour- he is so fussy and whiny at that time!  UGH!  Now that he is more mobile, he doesn't like the jumperoo as much.  He doesn't seem to have any favorite toy- really anything that is on the floor that he can put in his mouth (including the stickers that Ella leaves on the ground that he eats).  He does love the remote control, and the nasal aspirator from the hospital...you know this thing (why do we even buy toys?)...
Even though he is WAY more active then Ella ever was (changing his diaper and putting him in his carseat are a challenge!), he also seems to like to chill.  He loves going on walks/runs and doesn't make a peep the entire time, and he loves to relax in his floatie in the pool with his head back, feet up, and chew toy in hand. :)

Prime example of how much more active Everett is...there are a bunch of pictures of Ella from her 9 month photo shoot sitting just like this- calm and still.  You notice how both full body shots of Everett have his arm up?  That is because we couldn't get him to sit still for A SECOND- Gary would sit him in that position, and he would immediately turn over, roll over, fall back, start crawling...I just had to do continuous shoot on my camera!!

Everett Cole is 8 Months Old!

Everett is 8 months today!  We thought he was losing his status as the world's best baby due to the Vegas trip, and his ongoing fussy behavior, but he seems to be pretty much back to his normal happy self because...he has TEETH on the bottom!!!!!  I still can't really see them, but I can definitely feel the 2 sharp little teeth so they have popped through.  So we've become aware of another difference between Ella and Everett...teething never bothered Ella in the least- no fussiness, no lost sleep- Everett, not so much. ;)

As you can see, he is still Mr. Smiley Pants!

He is really sitting well now- he tips over a lot less.  He loves the remote control, and he knows if you try to give him a fake one.

He wears a size 3 diaper and size 6-9 months in most clothes.  He eats solids 3 times a day and gets 3 bottles a day- he's not a big eater.  He weighs about 17.5 or 18 pounds (Ella weighed 18.5 pounds).

His big sister is still madly in love with him.  The first thing she says every morning when she wakes up is, "where's Everett?" :)

Everett 6 Months Old

Everett's half birthday is today!  He is *such* a good baby.  There is no other word to describe him...he's just so good.  He just hangs out, goes with the flow.  He loves to smile and flirt.  He is WAY more active then Ella ever was- I'm a little scared for when he gets older!

He wears a size 2 diaper and all different size clothes.  He's still really skinny so even 0-3 month size shorts are really big on him, but he can wear up to 6-9 months in shirts because he's so darn tall.  You can see how long he is here...

He drools all over the place, but still has no teeth.  He's eating solids 1-2 times a day and gets about four 6 oz. bottles a day.  We're still experimenting with sleep since he still doesn't regularly sleep through the night...sometimes we do the dream feed but usually not, and then he'll usually wake up once.  He rolls like crazy and can prop himself up on his arms, but he doesn't sit up at all- not even in the tripod position so we need to work on that!

5 Months Old- Everett

Everett is 5 months old today!  He's happy, smiley, high maintenance and a little love bug.  He eats 4-5 oz. every 4ish hours.  Dream feeds at 10-10:30 p.m. and wakes once a night (sometimes twice) to eat.  I think he's *finally* moved up to a size 3-6 month in sleepers!  But still in a 0-3 month in everything else, and in pants, even 0-3 falls off him because he's so skinny!

He only rolls when he wants to (from front to back), which isn't too often, and he still hasn't rolled from back to front.  He can almost sit up unassisted for a few seconds.

We think he weighs about 14 pounds (Ella also weighed 14lbs at 5 months).

Four Months Old- Everett

Time is FLYING!  I can't believe E is already 4 months old.  He is such a good baby.  Really really good.  When we are out, he rarely makes a peep...he just sleeps or smiles at me. :)  He is SO smiley- much more so than Ella.  You just say hi to him, and he gives a giant smile and maybe even a little laugh.

He is wearing a size 0-3 months, but some are still big on him.  He wears a 1 or 1-2 diaper.  He weighs about 12.5 pounds.  He eats 4 oz. bottles approximately every 4 hours except over night.  At night he sleeps 7 or 7:30 p.m. to  anywhere between 3:30 and 6:00 a.m. (with a dream feed at 10:30 p.m.).

He gets very excited, kicks, smiles...

And he has the cutest little feet...

Ella adores him more than anything in the world...

I didn't realize Ella was so much chubbier than Everett!  He must be really skinny because she was never very chubby.  She was the same weight as him so he must be taller...oh, and his head is much bigger too so that might account for the weight!

A Very Merry Unbirthday to YOU! 18 Months

    PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket

Ella's half birthday is today...I can't believe she is 18 months old already!  I often look at her and think, "wow, you are a little girl now, not a baby!"  She still isn't a huge talker, but she will pretty much repeat or try to repeat anything you say.  Today she was trying to get the ball from Rylee, and I said, "Rylee drop!" so Ella says, "DROP!"  Her favorite word is "up".

We're still not really in the tantrum phase and no meltdowns in public, but she LOVES to whine.  Oh my gosh, if they had a whining competition, Ella would win.  However, a sure fire way to get her to stop whining is to take her outside.  She absolutely loves being outside, and if she had her way, she'd be outside 24 hours a day.

She is extremely social but can get shy sometimes.  She loves to laugh and be tickled.  She wears a size 18-24 month in clothing and still wears a size 4 diaper.

So even though my last post about dresses said those were my final fabrics, I added two more!  It's been cold here lately so I felt all cuddly and decided to get some flannel fabric...have you ever seen such a cute flannel fabric?!  This is the bell sleeve peasant dress...

And then because I love all things cherry, I had to do one in this fabric (it's not flannel), which I used to make bibs with...
