No Plans Weekend

We didn't have any plans this weekend for once so we got TONS accomplished- yay!  But we still managed to do some fun stuff...

The kids' preschool had a McDonald's night where the teachers serve the food, and some proceeds go to the school- it was fun!  And we are always willing to support our school and teachers!

We went on a preschool tour at Hannah's school, and joined her on the playground...

We went to our new favorite make your own pizza place down the street from our house with our neighbors (like how we did a separate kids table?!)...

And while mama had a much needed GNO, Gary and kids went across the street for a little s'mores action!

Ella came into my room with her nails looking like this (really, grandma?!)...

She got into my camera phone and took some selfies of she and Everett, as well as catching a typical Everett meltdown moment...

Busy Busy

I've been preparing for a trial so I've been ridiculously busy, but I managed to squeeze in a quick marketing trip to Houston where we went to the Houston Rodeo...ever heard of mutton bustin'??
It's crazy!!  5 year olds hold on for dear life on the back of a sheep, and the kid who hangs on longest wins.

We were in the VIP area with a huge Texas BBQ spread (yum!) and a great view of the giant carnival...

We went to a new make your own pizza place by our house where Everett & Sydney showed their love for each other. :)

We had a pajama movie night at Mason's house where Mason and Ryan watched Frozen, and Everett, Ella and Hannah ran around like wild animals (trust the photo of Ella and Hannah laying down together was a fleeting moment!).

We go for Saturday and Sunday morning walks on our street, and we always seem to end up with more kids than we started with!

Ella and Cadence went to the paint store with daddy...

Two little monkeys...Everett and one of his girlfriends, Lauren...

And I know these are getting old, but I figure at least the grandparents would like to see Ella do her rendition of "Let It Go"!

Summer (?!) Weekend...

Well, it wasn't really summer, but it felt like it since it was 80 degrees!  We went out to dinner on Saturday night, and it was such a ridiculously beautiful night out- the kids had soooo much fun running around...
Like the food in their teeth?!

As much as we try to force these two to be best friends, they pretty much want nothing to do with each other!

We had a park playdate that was a little bit toasty for my taste!

So we went out to lunch, and the kids cooled off by splashing around in the fountain (and getting completely soaking wet)...until the security guard came over and regulated!

And Ella got her first "real" hair cut!  She refused to get it washed, but she was great during the cut and got a headband braid AND her nails done!

Happy Birthday Julie!

We celebrated Julie's birthday this weekend by having them over for dinner and banana cream cheesecake.  Ella was super excited to sing and watch Julie open her gift!

We also did Saturday night McDonald's dinner so the kids could play since it had been raining all day.  Everett was obsessed with kissing Sydney through the mesh!

So of course these two had to copy...

Gary eventually became a jungle gym...this tends to happen to him a lot...
