Pumpking Carving

Time to get our carve on!

While were pulling out the guts, Everett was eating the raw pumpkin pulp!!  I have never in my life seen anyone eat raw pumpkin like that- it was hilarious!

And introducing...Mr. Pumpkin!

FunTober

Fall is so fun!  Ella went to a great Halloween party at Olivia's house on Friday and then to the Great Park Halloween event on Saturday morning with Aviela- I was bad about taking pictures, but I did get a few at the Great Park...

Notice the pony with pink mane and tail!!

Then it was time to celebrate Jill's birthday in Laguna- happy birthday j!

On Sunday we played with friends at Pirate Playground...

Pumpkin Patch!

We had a great day at Tanaka Farms with friends!

Getting a photo of Everett is like trying to catch a gnat with a fishing net, but I tried!

Me and sissy...

Trying to get all the kids sitting down and looking the same way in a photo is always hilarious and exhausting...

So we went for an action shot...

King of the mountain!  Notice the little red head photo bombing our pics- haha!

The fam...

We then headed over to the petting zoo.  Keep in mind, both my kids are terrified of petting farm animals (but love them from behind a fence), and in fact, at Zoomars they won't even go in the pen with the itty bitty rabbits and guina pigs.  However, Everett said he wanted to go in and pet the animals, and he did great!

He only cried a few times when some of the bigger animals charged him.  Ella refused to go in until her friends said they were going in.  She SWORE up and down that she would go in, not cry and pet the animals if we let her go in.  I told Gary not to buy her a ticket because no matter what she says, she will not do it.  He gave in, and this is what happened within 3 seconds of entering...
Not only was she hysterical, but she got Everett all riled up as well!  Stay tuned for Christmas...she has also sworn that this year, she wants to sit on Santa's lap.  Riiiiiight.

After a long morning, Gary took Everett home for his nap while the rest of us went out to lunch- Ella was extremely happy that she got to ride in Ryan's car...

4 Years Old

My baby girl is FOUR YEARS OLD today!!!  I could write pages and pages of how special she is, but what sticks out to me most at this age is how kind she is and what a big heart she has at such a young age.  The most unaffectionate baby has become a complete cuddle muffin.  She tells me she loves me about 10 times a day and is always wanting to give hugs and kisses.  She is the type of person that will give you the shirt off her back...the kind of person we all strive to be.  If she has a cookie or something really special, instead of trying to keep it all for herself or even get more, she offers every.single.time. to share with her brother...even though he would never do the same for her! ;)

She is the perfect combination of a tomboy and girly girl.  She likes princesses, she LOVES baby dolls, but there is nothing she would rather do than be outside and play a sport or go on a hike.  She is a total "mommy" and always tries to take care of everything and everyone.  She even gives me nightly backrubs (and she's better than Gary!).

There is a quote floating around Pinterest that always reminds me of her, and it goes something like this..."Of all the little girls in all the world, how did I get so lucky that God gave me the best one?"  I feel this every day of my life.

For her birthday dinner, she chose...
And the reason she chose it is because she wanted the 'make your own ice cream sundae' dessert. :)

Blowing out my candle...

Now let's start making this sundae!

And shoveling it in...

Mmmm...

Tada!

Ella's 4th Birthday Party

Given the state of our lives these days, I wasn't going to do birthday parties this year, but since we keep dragging the kids to flooring stores, tile stores, etc. [read: guilt], and because Ella recently started in her new class, I decided to do a very low key party and invite her entire class!

No sweets table or crazy decorations this year...which was a perfect year for it since she wanted princess theme (I mixed in bounce house theme)!

Water, cupcakes, favors and food...

Of course we had to have a giant purple and pink princess bounce house, and a princess dress (Ella picked the fabric out herself- you know I wouldn't have chosen that!)...

 Pizza with my friends!

Cupcake time!

Ella with her godsisters...

Then Jack got in the mix!

Grandpa and the girls...

And the twinsies...we tried to get them to kiss on the cheek, but they weren't into it?
