Ella is SIX!!!

My baby girl turned six yesterday!  We gave her the gifts from us and Everett before school...Everett was super excited to give her his gift...

What did he get her?  Leggings with gummy bears all over them and a bag of gummy bears!

As for us, Ella has been asking for an "American Doll Girl" as she calls them, but luckily she thinks the Our Generation dolls at Target are AG dolls so we got her Violet Anna and a new stroller.  Oh my gosh, she LOVES them!!  I'm pretty sure it's the best gift we've given her so far.

What a Fun Weekend :)

You know those weekends where you don't expect much, but they turn out so great?  That happened this weekend. :)

We got the early soccer time slot so it was nice and cool...

Then we went to the local small fair, which I didn't even want to go to because it's been so hot lately, and I'm so glad we went- it was SO much fun, the kids had a blast, Ella got to see her friends perform on stage, and the weather was absolutely perfect.

The kids went on tons of rides...

They each ate their OWN cotton candys (yikes!)...

And the best part?  They put the beer garden right next to the kiddie rides so we were able to relax at a table and enjoy a drink while the kids did a ride- GENIUS!

On Sunday, we got to visit our family from Arizona, who are staying at the most amazing beach house right on the sand.  Seriously, to.die.for.  The kids did not want to leave.  Cousins...

Despite rain in the morning, it turned out to be a gorgeous day!

Everett was an absolute lunatic.  I am very scared for what he has in store for us...I definitely see jumping off our roof into the pool in our future!  Maybe putting in a pool is not the best idea!!

And not related to this weekend, but Everett has been obsessed with hockey for a while because two of the big boys on our street play.  So the local rink has free play for kids under six, but it turned out that you already have to know how to skate!  I felt so bad for Everett because he was so excited that they let him borrow skates and a helmet...

Happy Birthday Gary!

We celebrated Gary's birthday this weekend!  We were supposed to go on a duffy boat ride with my parents, but it was canceled so we had dinner at their house complete with a Minion cake. :)

Then on his birthday, we had a bbq with great friends.  It was all girls...and everett...so of course a pop up nail salon was created ;)...

Ice cream sundaes...

Singing to daddy...

And Sydney even made Uncle Gary a card...aww!

This was Gary's response to his requested dessert.  He loves apple desserts.  I hate them.  So I never make them.  But he really really really wanted apple cobbler.  So I sucked it up and made it for the first time...he was a happy boy!

Puppy Party!

Ella's friend had a puppy party/ pool party today, and oh my gosh, it was so adorable and fun.  The kids LOVED it.  I'm pretty sure the trend is going to move from Frozen parties to puppy parties.

Soccer! U6 2015

It's soccer season!  Ella wasn't too into soccer last year (which killed us because she's pretty good at it!), but this year, Gary is the coach and her team is made up of all her good friends so she was beyond excited to start!!

When I picked her up from school on Thursday, the day of their first practice, the first thing she said to me was, "do I get to go to soccer practice now?!"

Saturday morning was her first game...she scored 2 goals!  Go Aqua Dolphins!!!

Summer is Over

But we still fit in a few fun things like playdates where the girls decided that they wanted to exercise by running around the cul-de-sac... ;)

Labor Day BBQs at the pool...

And neighborhood block parties...

My handsome little man. :)

Lots of gymnastics...

And dance parties pretty much every night...

And even a swing at the pinata at a birthday party...

Material Girl

So while Ella and I were at Target buying birthday gifts for some of her friends, she kept pointing out things she wanted to buy (right then of course), and I kept telling her that she could ask for some things for her birthday and Christmas, but she couldn't possibly remember it all so I gave her my phone to take pictures to remember.  I thought she'd take one or two photos, but OMG, she was on some kind of imaginary shopping spree.  This is too hilarious to not put on the blog...

For the first time ever, she told me that she wants an "American Doll Girl" as she calls them.  BUT she thinks the Our Generation dolls at Target are AG dolls- SCORE!  Anyway, she wants "Sadie", which they didn't have at this Target, but they had the "Mini Sadie", which of course she wants to so that her Sadie can have her own Sadie!

And naturally, Sadie needs a dog that looks just like Rylee...

And she needs this giant RV thingy because, well, her friend Emilia has it...

And the jeep...

And scooter...

And buggy...

And what even is this?  A stable?

Don't forget the horse!

And I had to pull these down for her take a photo of because of course she and Sadie need matching slippers...

We finally got out of the OG aisle, but it didn't end there.  Does she even know who these characters are??

We definitely need another princess dress since she NEVER ever uses the 10 dresses we already have...

???  She doesn't even like Tiana!

Oh, and yes, for sure more princess baby/toddlers.  We certainly don't have enough of those...

Palace pets??  When did she get into those?

Really Ella?  Body tattoos?...
She is for sure running low on lip gloss- she only has about 47 tubes/containers...
A barbie wedding???  Oh geez.
To the next 4, uh no.

Oh wait!  She found some more OG stuff in another aisle...clearly the horse and Sadie need friends, right??

She has none of the characters that go with this, but sure, why not the van?

Don't forget some plush toys!

A refill pack? I have no idea what this even is...

Oh sure, she would play with this ALL the time [insert eye roll]...

And how sweet, she did pick ONE thing for everett...a fart maker!

At least she doesn't ask for much, right? ;)
